The workshop will organize tours to famous historical and natural spots in Taoyuan. Excursion is optional and requires booking when registering through the website. Participants can select one of the following tours:
Excursion A (Daxi Tea Factory & Daxi Old Street)(PDF): Daxi Tea Factory was built by the Japanese in 1926, which marked the glorious history of Daxi tea manufacturing. Daxi Old Street preserves traditional wooden furniture shops, and many other old professions, including the famous dried bean curd, iron mongering, and stone working. This trip will tell some stories about the old days in Taiwan.
Excursion B (The National Palace Museum)(PDF): The Museum is located in Taipei, and holds a permanent collection of nearly 700,000 pieces of Chinese artifacts and artworks, making it one of the largest of its type in the world. Artifact collections in the Museum were inherited from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing courts. The trip is a great opportunity to explore the Chinese history.
